English Second Language

When do you use who and whom? What holidays do you celebrate? Is the present continuous tense a uniquely American grammaticism that is somehow indicative of our optimistic nature?

The answers to these questions (and more) exemplifies some of the joy of teaching ESL (English as a Second Language).

We've taught ESL in Germany, Czech Republic, and Egypt, as well as Chicago, Fresno, and Miami. We have lived in other continents and have traveled broadly.  We are culturally sensitive and pedagogically sound (e.g. trained in the Cambridge method of ESL instruction), with experience preparing students for both the TOEFL and Cambridge exams. We love working with students from other cultures and can help, from beginning to advanced, whatever the goal, whether to study abroad, enhance your employment chances or social opportunities, or simply to have more people to talk to!

We offer all kinds of ESL/English instruction, including conversational English, Business English, exam preparation, etc.
